Job Summary
The General Manager will be responsible for the overall management of our mining operations, focusing on improving efficiency, driving profitability, and ensuring compliance with all operational policies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing mining operations in East Africa.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of mining operations.
- Improve operational efficiency and drive profitability.
- Manage operational budgets and ensure cost-effective practices.
- Oversee hiring, training, and development of staff.
- Ensure compliance with operational and safety policies.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize mining operations.
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of management experience in the mining industry, particularly in East Africa.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Proven experience in budget management and operational planning.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
